Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose has accused President Buhari of planning to Islamize Nigeria. According to Vanguard, Fayose made the allegation during the PDP Rivers state thanksgiving service for the state governor, Nyesom Wike, whose election was upheld by the Supreme court on January 27th. Fayose reportedly told the gathering he had a secret to reveal about the present administration. When asked to share the secret, Fayose said; “They have started subtle moves to make Nigeria an Islamic nation, but God will stop them. This was done in 1984, it failed, it would fail again.”he said He added that he was not afraid of anyone and that his name is Peter whcih means Th Rock. “I am not far away, I am in Ekiti. Irene Mbithe has been arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, after she ripped out her six-month-old son's tongue and disemboweled him in an attempt to exorcise him after she became convinced he was possessed by demons. Residents raised alarm and called police after Irene's aunt, Catherine Muthama, arrived at the house and saw the gruesome scene. 'When I arrived I was surprised to see the mother having pulled out the tongue of the baby and I screamed at her asking why she had killed him,' the aunt said. The woman is believed to have cut out her son's tongue and scooped out his intestines in an exorcism attempt which neighbours say lasted all night. The mother, who looked remorseful yet confused, said she meant no harm to him: 'God punish me if I have done anything wrong to my son who I love so much and have prayed for years to conceive and give birth to.' Embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has accused President Buhari of being behind his continued detention despite two federal high courts granting him bail in December last year.  Dasuki made the allegation through his counsel, Joseph Daudu, at the resumed hearing of his trial today February 26th. Dasuki said while responding to a question during his media chat last year, pres. Buhari said that himself and Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, were still in detention because they could jump bail if they are released. Dasuki argued that this is a contempt of court order as two courts had already granted him bail. Dasuki tendered several newspaper publications where Buhari was quoted as saying he should not be allowed to go home even if granted bail by any court because he might jump bail. Dasuki appealed to the presiding judge, Justice Peter Affen, to enforce his order which granted him bail in December last year. He argued that the claims by the Federal government that he w

Gianni Infantino has won the FIFA Presidential elections after getting majority of votes from all 207 FIFA member associations. He will be the FIFA President for the period of 2016 to 2019. He defeated Sheikh Salman, Priince Ali al-Hussein and Jerome Champagne. The ExtraOrdinary FIFA congress and election which took place in Switzerland this afternoon went through the first round of voting, as a winner could only be determined if he won over 2/3 of the votes. At the end of the first round, Prince Ali had 27 votes, Champagne 7 votes, Sheikh Salman 85 votes while Infantino had the highest with 88 votes. For a candidate to win, 138 votes were needed for a two-thirds majority. Oyelowo Oyediran Ajanaku, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, Yewande, at their Akobo estate home in Ibadan on Feb. 2nd, has been laid to rest. 60 year old Abdulahi Mohammed pictured above, has been arrested and charged before an Ogba Magistrates’ court for allegedly repeatedly raping a 13-year-old girl at his home in Bankole Agagu Street, Oke Aro, a boundary town between Lagos and Ogun states from 2015 into 2016. According to Abdullahi lured the 13 year old girl into his home and forcefully penetrated her. He then warned the victim not to tell anyone. However her parents noticed her awkward movement caused by an injury she sustained during the penetration. When she was questioned, she narrated how the suspect has been forcefully having sex with her for months. Abdullahi was arrested and then charged for rape. When he was arraigned, Abdullahi pleaded not guilty to two-count charge under the Criminal Code. The presiding Magistrate, T. A. Elias granted him bail in the sum of N3 million with two sureties in like sum and ordered that he be remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri until he fulfills his bail conditions. The matter has
