Bishop Seun Adeoye of the Sufficient Grace and Truth Ministry in Osogbo, Osun state, today May 16th staged a one-man protest against the increased pump price of petrol. The men identified as Okafor Ifeanyi Anthony and Adibe Paschal flew from Nigeria to Vietnam, via Qatar, and then to Cambodia, using Qatar Airways flight Q970. "When the [authorities] detained them at the airport, he found some substances which they carried in their hands," said In Song, an official at the Anti-Drug department at the Ministry of Interior. "They carried this substance to deceive us." "Police confiscated several bags of the mysterious brown powdered substance but it did not test positive for drugs.The drugs that they hid were in their stomach," said Song. Three car battery thieves paraded naked in Obosi, Anambra State

Security men caught three men stealing car batteries in Anambra state. According to an eyewitness, the alleged thieves who specialized in stealing batteries from unattended vehicles had been terrorizing residents of Odume Layout Obosi in Anambra State. They were eventually caught in action by security men of the street who made them to walk around the street naked.

A staff of the National Assembly, Suleiman Bello was  stabbed to death by an unknown motorcyclists popularly known as Okoda riders at Kubwa, Abuja yesterday April 28th. According to eyewitnesses, Bello who was driving a Toyota Camry got into a heated argument with a motorcyclist at Bhyanzin Junction after he rammed his car into a parked van while trying to dodge the motorcyclist who was driving on a wrong lane. As the argument ensued, the motorcyclist brought out a dagger and stabbed Bello repeatedly. Another motorcyclist came to the scene and also stabbed Bello, leaving him in the pool of his blood. Bello lost his life. The okadamen immediately fled the scene

The troops of 3 Battalion, 22 Brigade have arrested Bukar Gujja and Bukar Kahalifa, two tailors who makes clothes for Boko Haram terrorists. The troops arrested them alongside 4 other members of the terrorist group during an operation in Kala Balge yesterday April 28th. The gallant troops tracked and arrested the 6 terrorists kingpins who sneaked into Kala Balge as a result of the onslaught of our heroic troops on the terrorists in Sambisa. The unrepentant and hardened insurgents which include Musa Kalile Sabakara (an Ameer), Babagana John (an informant and also seller of foodstuffs), Isah Abakar (an Ameer) and Usman Abasa, (who specializes on cattle rustling and selling of food stuffs), as well Bukar Gujja (a tailor who prepare clothes for the terrorists) and Bukar Kahalifa (also a tailor who prepares the dress for the Boko Haram terrorists), are presently undergoing interrogation.

14 years old Boko Haram escapee says "All I wanted is to stay alive and continue my education"-

Hajara (not her real name) loves education and was determined to get one. She was 12 years old and in form one at the junior secondary school when Boko Haram attacked her home town of Bama in September 2014. She was captured three times and escaped three times. "All I wanted is to stay alive and continue my schooling," she said. At the last escape, she and other escapees trekked for 12 days, mostly at night to avoid recapture until she got to Maiduguri. Today as part of the safe school initiative funded by Norway of which UNICEF is a key partner, Hajara is now a proud student of one of the Federal Government Colleges in northcentral Nigeria. Our dreams are worth fighting for.

Boko-Haram was cut and was beating mercilessly

Following reports by good citizens about Boko Haram terrorists activities and on hearing of very loud explosions near Dikwa this morning, Wednesday 27th April 2016, troops of 22 Brigade embarked on a patrol to Ajiri and Antul villages, South East of Dikwa along Dikwa-Gulumbagana road. The patrol made contact with Boko Haram logistics elements who specialised in using the 2 villages as base for food storage and other logistics before moving them to Bama and then to Sambisa forest. In the encounter, 5 Boko Haram terrorists were arrested comprising 3 adults and 2 minors. The under aged male children were dressed in new Boko Haram uniforms we earlier reported. The troops recovered 1 truck, 2 Golf cars painted in mud, 4 bicycles and 3 x 5kva power generating set, as well as 55 bags of corn.

Police said the boy's mother was driving in the area of 51st and Walrond Ave when she heard several shots being fired. When she pulled over, she saw that her son had been shot in his right hand. A blue bandage covers the spot where his hand once was, a mark of the violence his father now knows but still can't understand and dreads trying to explain to his youngest child someday. Troops of 3 Battalion, of 22 Task Force Brigade have arrested 4 Boko Haram terrorists Ameers (kingpins) at Rann, headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area today, April 22nd. The arrested kingpins specialized on various aspects of criminality to sustain the Boko Haram terrorists group in their areas. The arrested kingpins include Umara Mai Gyaran Rediyo (Radio Technician), Umaru Mai Nama, (who specialize in cattle rustling and sales), Alifa Makinta (a specialist on stealing foodstuffs) and Balu Jugudum (in charge of stolen jewelleries). The four terrorists were arrested following a tip off by well meaning members of the public. Subsequently, the troops conducted a cordon and search operation in the general area that led to the apprehension of the terrorist leaders, who contribute to the sustenance of the insurgency through their illegal trade specialization.

Two Nigerian men who duped the secretary of a serving Bombay High Court judge of Rs 2.2 lakh by befriending her on Facebook and eventually threatening her with ‘a judicial enquiry’, after she refused to make more payment were arrested by the cyber police station from New Delhi, India on Friday, April 22. The Nigerian men identified as Casmir Chijioke and Oliver Onyeka befriended the woman with one of them pretending to be a UK national. According to the BKC cyber police, the complainant, who approached them on April 6, told them that a few months ago, she received a friend request on Facebook from a British national. She accepted the request and the two started chatting online, said an officer. The man claimed to be from a well-to-do family and the duo started chatting frequently. Nassarawa state lawmakers fight dirty in their chambers over appointment of sole administrators

Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly engaged in a free for all fight during their plenary last Friday April 2nd over the appointment of local council administrators in the state. The state governor, Tanko Al-Makura had dissolved the boards of the various council administrators after their two-year tenure ended on March 24th. The governor immediately appointed sole administrators to man the affairs of the Local government areas, a decision that was not welcomed by the state house legislators who according to them, had resolved to immediately conduct elections so that new Local government chairmen can be sworn in. Six out of the 24 lawmakers alleged that the other lawmakers had received money to go against their resolution. The allegations prompted the House leader to call for their suspension, a motion that resulted to chaos. The suspended members prevented the sitting, leading to a fight.

A woman killed her one year old child and removed the eye of the child

A woman in Onicha Uboma Autonomous Community in the Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area, Imo State, identified only as Ifeoma allegedly killed her one-year-old child, gorged out her eyes and drank her blood. According to Daily Independent, the 39-year-old woman was alleged to have committed the heinous act inside her husband’s shop. Mr. Azubuike Emedom returned from a business trip to find his wife and child missing. "It was gathered that after searching for them in the neighbourhood without result, Mr. Emedom proceeded to his shop, although he thought it abnormal for them to be in the shop that early. When he got to the shop, he discovered that the shop was locked from the inside, but after repeated knocks and Ifeoma’s failure to open the door, Mr. Emedom was said to have broken down the door, only to find his wife inside, blood on her mouth and the baby wrapped in blood stained cloth. A Man was sentenced to 2 years in jail just for using his wife as a maid

London's Woolwich Crown Court heard that 34 year old Safraz Ahmed, kept his wife, 28 year old Sumara Iram, a prisoner in their home. The courts heard that he verbally and physically abused her after an arranged marriage in Pakistan. Ahmed who is a mechanic in Southeast London forced his wife,  to cook, clean and look after his mother from 5am to midnight every day after the mother-in-law moved to England in 2012. She said he also slapped her in the face when she asked him to consummate their marriage. She said one time he threw tins of cat food at her head and another time he covered her face with a cushion. Iram who had a master's degree in Islamic Studies, was not permitted to leave the house alone and took an overdose before eventually calling the emergency services in 2014, the court heard.
