The full list of one of Nigeria’s most rewarding entertainment awards, the Headies, scheduled to hold October 19th, 2019, is out. This edition of the award, which is the 13  th , will feature 29 unique categories to acknowledge and celebrate the work of various artists in different categories. The categories are: Best Recording of the Year; Best Pop Single; Producer of The Year; Best Reggae/ Dancehall Single; Best Rap Album; Best R&B/ Pop Album; Alternative Album; Best R&B Single; Best Collabo; Best Rap Single; Best Vocal Performance (Male); Best Vocal Performance (Female); Next Rate; Hip Hop World Revelation; and Lyricist on The Roll. Dick Clark Productions and ABC may be gearing up for New Year's Rockin' Eve in a few weeks, but amidst the NYE craziness the two companies made an announcement about another exciting broadcast for the new year: The 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Kicking off the summer music season, the BBMAs will air live on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. ET. No further details have been revealed regarding which artists will be in attendance or perform, but the show has never failed to showcase the year's hottest musical acts. As for the nominees (which also have yet to be announced), the finalists for each award are based on "key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound," according to a release.
