Billboard Music Awards 2017 Show Date Announced


Dick Clark Productions and ABC may be gearing up for New Year's Rockin' Eve in a few weeks, but amidst the NYE craziness the two companies made an announcement about another exciting broadcast for the new year: The 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
Kicking off the summer music season, the BBMAs will air live on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. ET. No further details have been revealed regarding which artists will be in attendance or perform, but the show has never failed to showcase the year's hottest musical acts.
As for the nominees (which also have yet to be announced), the finalists for each award are based on "key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound," according to a release. The reporting period for next year's awards ends in March 2017.
Last year's BBMAs broadcast brought an average of 9.8 million viewers, marking the program's third-largest audience.

Jonathan praises Buhari on the release of Chibok Girls

Mr Taidi Jonathan, former Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Minna chapter, on Monday said the release of the 82 Chibok school girls demonstrated the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to the welfare of all Nigerians.
